Merbau Decking

Transform your outdoor entertaining space with the gold standard of Australian deck design: Merbau Hardwood Decking (also known as Kwila). Celebrated for its rich reddish-brown hues, interlocked grain patterns, and exceptional natural durability, Merbau delivers a luxurious, high-end finish that elevates any backyard, patio, or pool surround.

Classified as a Class 1 Above-Ground Hardwood, Merbau is naturally resistant to decay, termites, and fungal attack—making it one of the most reliable and long-lasting timber species available for Australia's harsh climate.

• Rich, Premium Aesthetics: Displays a striking spectrum of tones from golden-brown to deep, rich red, punctuated by characteristic natural yellow mineral flecks that prove genuine timber authenticity.

• BAL-29 Fire Rating: Naturally bushfire-resistant, meeting Bushfire Attack Level 29 (BAL-29) requirements without needing additional flame-retardant treatments.

• Superior Structural Stability: Kiln-Dried (KD) to ensure minimal shrinkage, cupping, or warping after installation, creating a flat, solid surface underfoot.

• Low Maintenance, High Longevity: High density and high natural oil content protect the timber against heavy foot traffic, harsh weather, and coastal elements.
